QuoVadis Live! supports Telethon 2008

QuoVadis Live! supports Telethon 2008
At QuoVadis Live! we've decided to do something in order to support Telethon 2008 which aim is to gather donations in aid to the French Association against the Myopathies. At least 5,000 demonstrations accross France are scheduled for the occasion and what we propose to do is to include a module for donations in each QuoVadis Live! page featuring a geoevent related to Telethon 2008. If you wanna help, found out more at http://www.quovadislive.com/ .

To ad or not to ad...

At QuoVadis Live! we're true believers the Internet should be free and that's why our geoevent and geotour mapping web services are free (within TOS). However behind this free web service, like in other websites, there's a lot of work involved, including R&D, and the web hosting service is not free. There's a cost. That's why we had to find a way to start generating some form of revenue in order to at least cover the running costs of our web service without compromising the quality of the service. It seemed to us the natural path to achieve this goal was simply to start publishing ads relevant to the nature of the website and offering products and services which can be of interest to visitors who want to assit to a particular geoevent or complete a specific geotour.

New Geotour Category

We've just released a new category for the geotours called Filming Locations allowing users to map movies locations attaching related films extracts that might be on YouTube. Therefore you can now pinpoint famous movies sets directly on QuoVadis Live! maps, eventually watch part of a movie where the location can be seen, download movies sets locations into your GPS and organise themed travels to experience favourite movies moments! One of our users has already mapped sets of John Borman's 1981 movie blockbuster Excalibur making it the first geotour of the Filming Locations category.
